What I'm grooving to: "Float On" by Modest Mouse (perfect for this entry!)
So as Iook down on the continental us states I’m passing over through the clouds, I can’t stop thinking about the huge phase of my life I am entering.
First, I am going to be working with a company totally different from General Mills, so I know this will definitely be an experience. And not only that, but I feel like they have very high expectations based on my pas research experiences and the fact that I have had two internships with General Mills. I think this is the reason I got stuck with my “scientific” project, which also scares me, because both of my projects at GMI were more engineering than science, so this will be another important factor for my experience.
Besides my work experience at Cincy, I am hoping to have a good social experience. I’m hoping to meet different people, and be more outgoing. And deep down inside I am hoping to have some type of interpersonal relationship: OMG! I feel so aloneeeeee, I wish I could have someone to cuddle with for the next months hahaha. Plus, its been almost 5 years since I last kissed someone! (the INCIDENT from last summer doesn’t count :P). I really hope to make some progress in this area, because I am tired of being single sandi UGH (and I really want to kiss someone hahahaha)
Another interesting thing I have to deal with in the next four months is the fact that I have to make a decision for the rest of my life. Work or grad school? (eh, I think the answer for now is work :P) Work for what company? (For now, my answer is GMI, I really want to go back, but I don’t find out until next week if I will be getting an offer or not. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING! If I don’t end up working for them, then I want to work for another consumer based company, preferably a food company like KELLOGS hahaha). Its very stressful, because I like having everything planned out, and right now at this moment everything is up in the air! And I HATE not having control of things! And the fact that the decision I make will pretty much carve out the path for my life, makes the decision 129885849 harder/stressful/crazy.
I ‘m looking really forward to this experience, because I know I’m going to learn a lot: about science, food, work life, and most importantly about MYSELF! This last summer at GMI helped me learn A LOT of things about who I am, and I am DEFINITIVE that my semester at P&G is going to be equally or more insightful, and this definitely motivates me =)
Let the challenge begin!!!! Woo hooo!!!
♫ Allright, already, we’ll all float on allright, already, we’ll all float on okay / don’t worry we’ll all float on, even if things get heavy / we’ll all float on allright ♫
